Darwin was the first landing. Grosvenor and Mecca’s digital estate had to come off a Guernsey OpenBet platform and onto Azure, with Bede. £12 million CAPEX. Live on 29 February 2016. The Guernsey data centre was gone in eight weeks.
Then Grosvenor One: one account and wallet across retail and digital, Profisee for a single customer view, Feedzai in the path, and a middleware layer that had to join it all. Omnichannel that customers could actually use.
Cloud programmes are not a landing because a platform exists. They land when the estate can move, the date holds, and operations can run what has been built. That is the work RAID still does: sequencing, readiness, and the operational detail.
The engagement ran from January 2015 to August 2018, as Consultant IT Programme Manager.
